Marbella has always been a highly popular destination for property buyers looking for a luxury home. With its famous Golden Mile made famous during the 1950s and 1960s, and it constant flow of wealthy holiday makers, it was inevitable that it would become one of Europe’s most popular locations for property. Access to the airport and its solid infrastructure mean that property buyers in Marbella can easily get around and access great restaurants, supermarkets and shops easily.

Over the decades the profile of luxury property buyers in Marbella has changed thanks to the prosperity of certain countries and the opening of the EU Schengen scheme which has made it easier for many EU residents to spend time in Spain for longer periods of time. UK home buyers in Marbella still top the list despite their exit from the EU, but we have seen other nations like Poland, Czechia, Belgium and some of the more eastern European countries enter the Marbella luxury home market. In addition the USA buyers are returning in larger numbers thanks to regular direct summer flights and a growing love for the European lifestyle.
